We are a mobile caravan mechanic operating across Sydney metro. Brakes, bearings, electrical, plumbing, awnings, pre-trip checks, full annual services. All done at your van, your driveway, your storage yard or your caravan park. Fixed prices published online. Same-week availability for most jobs.
If you have a caravan in Sydney, you already know how hard it is to get one serviced. Most workshops are booked weeks out. They want you to drop the van off, leave it for a day or three, and pick it up when they are done. The towing alone is a non-trivial exercise.
A mobile mechanic removes all of that. We bring the workshop to your van. The work happens where the van lives, whether that is a residential driveway in the Inner West, a storage yard in Penrith, or a caravan park anywhere from Cronulla to Manly. You do not move the van, you do not take a day off work to deliver it, you do not pay tow truck fees if it is not currently roadworthy.
We do almost everything a fixed workshop does. The exceptions are jobs that genuinely need workshop equipment (full structural repair, major chassis work, paint booth jobs) or jobs that require licensed tradespeople we do not have on staff (240V electrical, gas plumbing). For those we either refer you out or subcontract on your behalf, depending on which is cleaner.
One operator, one service vehicle, fully equipped. The van carries an inverter and lithium house battery system so we run our tools without a generator (so no neighbour complaints, no petrol smell, no noise above a normal conversation level). A compressor and air tools for bearing and brake work. A pressure washer and water filtration setup for detailing. A wet-dry vac and steam extractor for cleaning. A small parts store with the consumables for almost every common repair (bearings, seals, fuses, taps, sealants, screens).
Most jobs are completed in one visit. If parts need to be ordered, we quote on the spot and book the return at no extra callout fee.
Same as any mobile service:
That covers every Sydney driveway, every serviced caravan park, and almost every storage yard. The exceptions are bush blocks and unserviced acreage, which we either quote an off-grid surcharge for or recommend you bring the van somewhere it works.
The recurring one. Most caravans need a full service every year or every 10,000km. Insurers expect it, manufacturers recommend it, and it catches small problems before they become trip-ruining ones. Our Annual Service starts at $595 for single-axle vans.
A tap is dripping. The fridge does not turn on when off grid. A light is dim. A brake is squealing. These are the jobs where the diagnostic-first model works best. Book the relevant visit (plumbing, 12V, brakes), we identify the fault, we quote the fix, we do the work if you approve.
You have a big trip coming up. The van has been sitting since last year. You want someone to give it a proper look before you commit to a 5,000km loop with the family in tow. Our Pre-Trip Check at $290 is the lighter inspection version, half the depth of an Annual Service but a lot more thorough than a once-over.
You have your eye on a used van. The seller's mechanic says it is fine. You want a second opinion from someone independent. We come to where the van is being viewed, do a full inspection, give you a written report. Costs roughly the same as a Pre-Trip Check. Easily the best $290 you will spend before parting with $40,000+.
You have hail damage, water damage, or other claimable damage. We can do the inspection, write the assessment, and quote the repair. For the actual repair, depending on the work, we either do it ourselves or coordinate with the insurer's preferred repairer.
Sydney metro, about 40km from the CBD. That is everything from Penrith and Richmond in the west, Sutherland and Cronulla in the south, the Northern Beaches up to Manly, Hornsby and the Hills District to the north, the Inner West and Eastern Suburbs in between.
If you are at the edge of that range (Central Coast, Wollongong, Blue Mountains beyond Penrith), ask. We sometimes go further for a full day's work or a cluster of bookings, but not for a single hour-long callout.
We are a booked-visit operation, not a roadside assist. For a genuine roadside emergency call NRMA or your roadside provider first. If the van has been recovered to a location in Sydney metro and needs repair before you can use it again, that is exactly the kind of next-day booking we prioritise.
The common ones, yes. Bearings, seals, brake shoes, fuses, taps, sealants, screens, basic 12V hardware. About 70% of repair jobs can be completed in a single visit because the parts are already on the van. The rest we quote on the spot and book a return.
Roughly the same on labour rates, often less on parts (we mark up less than the average workshop), and you save the towing cost (which is significant for any non-roadworthy van) plus the day of work you would otherwise lose to dropping off and picking up. For the most common services we publish fixed prices, so you can compare directly against any workshop quote.
Mon to Fri 6am to 6pm, Saturday 10am to 2pm. We can sometimes accommodate after-hours by arrangement for urgent work. Sundays we are closed.
Yes. We can produce a written inspection report on request as part of any Annual Service or pre-trip check. Most insurers accept these as evidence of recent professional inspection for claim purposes.
