This is the single biggest call-out in Sydney. Caravans sit outside, silicone fails after a few years, water finds its way in, and the next thing the owner sees is a brown stain on the ceiling. By that point the timber frame underneath may have been wet for months.
We do this work in two parts, depending on the damage. A roof reseal (from $650) is the preventative version, done before water has broken through. Every penetration on the roof (hatches, vents, antennas, awning rails) gets the old silicone removed mechanically and replaced with architectural-grade self-levelling sealant. A ceiling lining replacement (from $750 for partial, $2,500 typical for full) is what happens when the damage has already gone through. We replace the lining from inside the van, in fire-retardant aluminium composite panel. The factory roof skin stays intact, awnings and solar panels stay where they are, and you avoid the $5,000-$6,000 quote for a full roof removal that most workshops will give you.
Wheel bearings need to be repacked or replaced regularly, brake shoes wear out, hub seals fail and let grease escape onto the brake drums. None of this is dramatic on its own, but a failed wheel bearing on the M1 with a full van behind it is one of the worst experiences you can have on a caravan trip.
Our Brakes & Bearings Inspection ($220 fixed) is a paid diagnostic. We strip the wheels, inspect everything, give you a written report and a written quote for any work needed. If you approve the work on the day, the common parts (bearings, seals, brake shoes, magnets) are stocked on the van and we keep going. Most jobs finish the same afternoon.
Solar systems, battery banks, DC-DC chargers, inverters, lighting, water pump wiring, fridge wiring, fan wiring. Almost every modern caravan has a small electrical workshop hidden behind a panel somewhere, and when something fails it can be either trivial (a blown fuse) or genuinely complicated (a faulty BMS on a lithium battery).
The 12V Diagnostic Visit starts at $180. That covers the first hour, which is usually enough to identify the fault. If parts and additional time are needed, we quote on the spot before continuing.
Important note: this covers 12V DC work only. Anything 240V (the mains power side of your van, including pre-existing wiring from a previous installer) needs a licensed electrician. We coordinate that for you when needed.
Taps, pumps, hot water units, fresh tanks, grey tanks, toilets, shower mixers, water lines. Caravan plumbing systems are simple in concept (it is mostly low-pressure cold water with a pump) but the failure points are reliably predictable: pumps wear out, taps drip, water lines crack in winter, hot water units fail to ignite.
The Plumbing Repair Visit starts at $180. Like the electrical, that includes the first hour and is usually enough to fix the most common issues.
Gas plumbing (the lines to your hot water unit, cooker and any gas fittings) needs a licensed gasfitter. We do not touch that work. We can recommend someone, and book your other work for the same day so you only have one day disrupted.
The smaller jobs that do not fit a specific category: replacing flyscreens, repairing torn awning fabric, replacing failed ceiling LEDs, water tank flushes, window seal replacement, lock and latch issues, jockey wheel replacement. The Quick Fix Visit at $180 covers most of these, and the catalogue on the services page has fixed prices for the common ones.
Worth being honest about this, because we charge the same either way and would rather you get the right thing booked.

Fixed prices for jobs where the scope is clear in advance: ceiling replacement (from $750 partial, $2,500 typical for full), roof reseal ($650 to $1,050), water tank flush ($180), flyscreen replacement ($85 per screen), ceiling light install ($120 per light).
Tiered fixed prices for jobs where the scope scales with van size: detailing services, the bigger packages.
Diagnostic-then-quote for jobs that genuinely cannot be priced until we have looked at the van: brakes ($220 inspection), plumbing (from $180 callout), 12V electrical (from $180 callout), Quick Fix Visit ($180). The diagnostic fee includes the first hour of work, then anything beyond that is quoted and approved before we continue.

Cosmetic and minor mechanical accident damage, yes. Structural damage (bent chassis, separated A-frame, significant impact damage to the body shell) is workshop work and we will refer you to a specialist. We can do the inspection and write the assessment for your insurance claim if useful.
Manufacturer warranty work needs to be done by the manufacturer's authorised dealer. We can do post-warranty repairs, insurance work, and any owner-funded repair. If you are partway through warranty period and unsure, check with your dealer first.
Book the Quick Fix Visit or the diagnostic for the system you suspect (12V if it is electrical, plumbing if it is water). The $180 callout includes the first hour, which is usually enough to identify the fault. From there we either fix it the same visit (if parts are on the van) or quote you for a return visit with the right parts.
No. The published prices for diagnostic and inspection visits ARE the callout fee, and they include the first hour of work. There is no separate "we showed up" charge. The only exception is travel beyond 40km from Burwood (our notional centre point for Sydney metro coverage), which we quote case by case.
We charge for what is done, quote the rest including parts, and book a return visit at no additional callout fee. The 20% deposit you paid at booking still applies to the total quoted work.
Almost always, yes. The most common owner mistake we see is paying $20,000 to part-exchange an older van that needed $4,000 of repair to be back in good condition.
