What we mean by "caravan services."

Caravan services in Sydney generally covers four kinds of work: an annual service (the scheduled inspection and maintenance most insurers expect), pre-trip checks before a big drive, repair and replacement of specific components when something fails, and the bigger restorative jobs like roof reseals and ceiling replacements that come up every few years on an older van.

We do all of it, on-site, with one operator who can handle mechanical, electrical, plumbing and presentation work in a single visit. That part matters. Most Sydney workshops will book you in for one type of work and refer the rest out. If you have a tap leak, a wiring fault, a brake squeak and a faded awning all on one van, you would otherwise be coordinating three or four different trades. With us it is one booking, one quote, one day.

The full service catalogue.

Pricing below is published. No quotes-by-phone, no "we will get back to you with a number," no surprises on the invoice.

Presentation

Why people book us instead of towing the van to a workshop.

Three reasons come up over and over.

First, the towing itself. Sydney traffic and a fully laden caravan do not mix well, and most owners will tell you the drive to and from the workshop is the worst part of getting service done. We remove that completely. We bring the equipment to you.

Second, the waiting. Major Sydney caravan workshops are booked weeks ahead, often months for anything beyond a basic service. We hold same-week availability for most work and next-day for genuine urgency like leaks or electrical faults.

Third, the pricing. Most workshops will not quote until they have the van in front of them. We publish fixed prices online for almost everything. The only services that are quoted on-site are the ones that genuinely cannot be priced without an inspection (brakes, ceiling replacement, complex 12V work), and even those have a fixed inspection fee that includes a written quote.

Where we go.

Sydney metro, roughly 40km from the CBD. That covers everything from Penrith and Richmond in the west, through to Sutherland, Cronulla, Northern Beaches, Hornsby and the Central Coast border in the north. If you are not sure whether you are in range, ask. We will tell you straight up whether it works for us.

Common areas we visit weekly include Parramatta, Penrith, Sutherland, Liverpool, Bankstown, Hornsby, the Northern Beaches, Hills District and the Inner West. Storage yards and caravan parks are no problem (often easier, actually, because you do not have to be home).

What we need from you on the day.

Three things, always the same.

  • A standard 10A power outlet within about 20 metres of the van.
  • A garden tap within about 20 metres of the van.
  • Vehicle access close enough that we can reach the van with our service vehicle (within about 30 metres of all four sides, on a stable surface).

That covers basically every Sydney driveway, storage yard and serviced caravan park. The rare site without these we either quote an off-grid surcharge for, or recommend you bring the van somewhere it works.

How booking works.

Pick the service, pick a date, pay a 20% deposit to secure the slot. We turn up on the day, do the work, send the invoice for the balance. The deposit is fully refundable up to 48 hours before the booking. Within 48 hours it converts to a rebooking credit, valid for 90 days.

If you are not sure which service you need, the Annual Service is the right starting point for any van that has not been looked at in the last 12 months. We catch everything else from there.

FAQ.

How much does a caravan service cost in Sydney?

For a full Annual Service, $595 for a single-axle van, $695 for a pop-top or camper trailer, $795 for a tandem-axle. These are fixed prices that include the inspection, all the consumables (grease, fluids, light bulbs as needed), and the labour. Parts that need replacing because they are worn are quoted separately and you approve them before we proceed.

For everything else, see the pricing list above. Almost every service has a published number.

How often should I service my caravan?

Once a year, or every 10,000km, whichever comes first. That is the manufacturer recommendation on most Australian-built caravans and what most insurers expect to see in your service history if you ever make a claim.

If your van has been sitting in storage for more than six months without use, a service before the next trip is wise even if it has not done the kilometres. Bearings can pit, brake drums can rust, water tanks can develop biofilm. Better to find it before you are on the highway.

Do you service all caravan brands?

Yes. Jayco, Coromal, Goldstream, New Age, JB, Avida, Avan, Lotus, Kedron, Bushtracker, the lot. Most Australian-built caravans share the same running gear underneath (AL-KO axles, Dexter or similar bearings, common brake hardware), so brand-specific knowledge matters less than people think for routine service work. For brand-specific quirks (Jayco's CRV chassis, certain pop-top mechanisms) we know what to watch for.

Can you do warranty work?

Manufacturer warranty work needs to be done by the manufacturer's authorised dealer to remain valid. We can not do that. We can do everything outside the warranty period, plus the services that are not warranty-covered (insurance claim work, owner-funded modifications, post-warranty maintenance). If you are not sure whether something is still under warranty, check with your dealer first.
